About Us

Our original mission in 2006 was guiding tenure-line faculty of Georgetown’s main campus to peer-reviewed, scholarly book and article publication at first-tier university presses and major academic journals. However, Georgetown also has an abundance of non-tenure-line faculty, including government officials, ambassadors, visiting scholars, research fellows, postdocs, and more, so the mission grew to include all of these. Terminal-degree scholars in a variety of fields (humanities, social science, political science, business, law, medicine) have gathered here to meet in weekly publishing group, share and crowdsource wisdom, and explore academic publishing options in a collegial setting. In 2026 we marked 20 years working with all of Georgetown’s campuses present and past, including Washington DC on the hilltop and at the Capitol Campus, in Doha, Qatar; and in Fiesole, Italy.
